Sharing some healthy tips for a child and teenager's growth, strength and lean body.
1) Globally, child/teenager (or the children) obesity is a real problem. Nip the problem in the bud by encouraging children to enjoy a wide variety of nutritious food and its subtle tastes comprising :
- vegetables and fruits
- meat (eg beef, lamb), poultry (eg chicken), fish, live seafood, eggs, unsalted plain and mixed nuts etc
- carbohydrates eg rice, bread, pasta, noodles etc
- milk, yoghurt, cheese etc
- plentiful drinks, fruit juices, smoothies etc.
And care should be taken to choose food low in salt and to consume moderate amount of sugar.
With nutritious food prepared safely and served warm for consumption, you can allow children to eat whenever they wanted to and if they are full, never force them to eat when they don't want to. Children need more fatty acids (eg salmon) for brain development and growth. Of course by eating together as a family in most, if not all meals in a relaxed atmosphere, children's growth can be checked regularly.
Poor eating habits would lead to obesity, retarded growth and impaired mental development.
2) Physical activities should also be carefully planned for children. By using the right breathing techniques etc, children can develop a fit and lean body with strength and endurance and be ready for new challenges as they continue to grow as adults into the future.
Hope you find the above tips useful.
