Another Italian saying : "Meglio un giorno da leone, che cento giorni da pecora" -which translates as "Rather one day as a lion, than a hundred days as a sheep."
I like this quote as it has many possible interpretations. Mine is to live life the way you want it and to be happy, rather than do something just because everyone else is doing it.
